• Kit Tags and Email List Enrollment:Teachers may assign a Kit tag to their courses. By enrolling in such courses, students are automatically added to that teacher’s email list.
• Teacher Responsibility:Teachers are responsible for managing their email lists in compliance with applicable email marketing and data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM Act).
• Opt-Out Options:Students can opt-out of the teacher’s email list at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided in email communications or by contacting the teacher directly.

4. Data Sharing

TeachKit does not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data with:

• Service Providers: Third-party companies that assist in platform functionality (e.g., hosting, analytics).

5. YouTube API Services

When you connect your YouTube account, TeachKit uses YouTube API Services to access your videos with the `https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly` scope. This allows us to retrieve your video list and related metadata so you can embed videos in your courses automatically. This access is read-only; we do not modify or delete any YouTube content. We store only the video identifiers and information necessary for embedding and do not share this data with third parties. You can revoke TeachKit's access at any time via your Google account settings. Use of this integration is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service.
