These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the TeachKit platform, including the creation and enrollment in free online courses. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.


1. Platform Overview

TeachKit is a free online course platform that allows users to create an account which serves as both a teacher and a student account. Teachers can create free courses, embed videos, provide instructions/assignments, and optionally tag enrollees in their Kit accounts.


2. Account Registration

  • You must create a free account to use TeachKit.
  • Users must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • Each account serves as both a teacher and student account.

3. User Responsibilities

  • Teachers: You are responsible for the content of the courses you create, including any embedded videos, instructions, or assignments. You must ensure that all content complies with these terms and applicable laws.
  • Students: You are responsible for adhering to course requirements and respecting the intellectual property of the course creators.
  • All Users: You may not use TeachKit for any illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purposes.

4. Content Guidelines

  • All content must comply with applicable copyright, intellectual property, and privacy laws.
  • Teachers must ensure that any embedded videos or materials are either their own or properly licensed.
  • Prohibited content includes but is not limited to:
    • Hateful, defamatory, or discriminatory content
    • Pornographic or sexually explicit materials
    • Content promoting illegal activities

5. Data Usage

  • TeachKit collects user data to operate the platform. By creating an account, you consent to the collection and use of your data as outlined in our [Privacy Policy].
  • Teachers can optionally tag students enrolled in their courses in their Kit accounts. By enrolling in a course, you agree to this tagging feature.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Users retain ownership of the content they create and upload to TeachKit. By uploading content, you grant TeachKit a non-exclusive license to display and distribute the content as part of the platform’s operations.
  • You are prohibited from copying, redistributing, or using another user’s content without permission.

7. Liability and Disclaimers

  • TeachKit is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • Makeable Brand LLC is not responsible for any damages arising from the use of TeachKit, including but not limited to data loss, unauthorized access, or misuse of the platform.
  • Users are solely responsible for the content they create, share, or access on TeachKit.

8. Termination

  • Makeable Brand LLC reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account or course at its discretion, particularly for violations of these terms.
  • Users may delete their accounts at any time by request.

9. Changes to Terms

  • Makeable Brand LLC reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Notice of changes will be posted on the platform. Continued use of TeachKit after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Boise, Idaho.
